Join us as we reflect on our first day as we head out for a week of service at the Bowery Mission - Road trip day! Crammed in vehicles together (which provides us hours of entertainment and good conversation), pizza and hotels. It is always a fun one!

Day 2 continues with an amazing worship experience at the Brooklyn Tabernacle, settling into our mission and delicious New York cheesecake (and loaded potato's as seen in the video). Please continue to pray for us as we begin serving and reaching out with the gospel along side of the Bowery Mission staff and volunteers. It's Day Three - The first full day of service with the Bowery Mission. Watch as we garden in March, wash dishes and tell you the stories of how God used our service to help us connect with people. Two women's shelters and two men's shelter's later we have been blessed!
Day 4
Another busy day of service with The Bowery Mission. Watch as we share with you today's experiences including park ministry, a powerful prayer service, serving in the kitchen, electrical work and more! We are so blessed to be welcomed into this home and permitted to serve alongside some truly great people of God.
Day 5
Another day of serving, growing closer to Christ and learning to see the world through His eyes. Kitchen Service, Prayer Walks, Times Square, Headquarters, Volunteer Coordinating ... This day has a little bit of everything. Today we ask the crew how their faith has changed, grown or how it is growing.
Day 6
Our last full day of service with The Bowery Mission. It has been such a blessing to be here! Today, we ask our crew. How have you seen God working through you? We ask this not to give our volunteers an opportunity to brag about themselves, but to boast about what our amazing God can do when we are serving him!

Day 1 - Saturday, March 3 With an early morning and a fairly easy time getting across the boarder, we were on our way to NYC! New friendships and many stops made for a perfect opportunity to learn more about each other as our team comes together. Time spent chatting, napping, and finding out our love languages made the long drive a bit better. We enjoyed seeing the city skyline on our drive into the city, a great time eating at Standard Burger, and seeing the Statue Liberty on the Staton Island Ferry. Long day, great people, and we are so expectant for what this week will hold.
Day 2 - Sunday, March 4 It was an early morning for us here at The Bowery Mission. Team members were in the kitchen preparing and serving breakfast and lunch and some also got to serve and experience their first chapel service here. We’ve enjoyed getting to interact

Day 1
Today, we travelled, all wonderfully crammed together in a van, from little Jacksonville, NB to the slightly bigger New York City. Lots of laughs were had, we made great time, and we arrived safely at our destination. God is good. Now we settle in, get some rest, and get right to serving alongside the staff an volunteers at the Bowery early tomorrow morning.
Day 2
On day 2, we get up early (6am), serve in the kitchen, cut up 'about 100 pounds of onions,' and visit a great service at Hillsong Church. Check out our video for to see how are team took in the day.

New York 2018
with everyone here at The Bowery and can’t wait to see how those connections grow over the week. We’ve been experiencing more of the city as we learn how to navigate walking and taking public transit. Another one of our highlights today was worshipping together at Hillsong Church New York. We’ve been challenged, encouraged, and stretched today and it’s only our first full day in the city. God has a plan for our time here and as we learn to love Him and love others more, we are excited to see how He wants to use us to carry out this plan
Day 3 - Monday March 5 We are starting to get the swing of things here at the Bowery Mission. Another early morning with chapel service, meal preperations/serving, cleaning, and sorting donation rooms, but we are enjoying seeing God use us to be a blessing. Our team is coming together and friendships are being strengthen as we work and laugh together. We are learning what it means to be flexible and able to serve in anyway at a moments notice. It can be crazy, but well worth it. We had the incredible opportunity to visit the 9/11 memorial and experience the sights from the top of One World Trade Centre, which if you didn’t know if the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. What an experience to see the world from the sky and get some perspective in life. With so many things to think about and learn from today, we are so glad that Jesus is with us every step of the way in this adventure.
Day 4 - Tuesday March 6 Today, we added bible study, making donation pick up and delivery trips, and helping organize the food pantry to our list of ways we’ve been blessed to serve. The longer we are here, the more comfortable we and others become leading to more connection and really interesting conversations. We love getting to hear people's stories and get a glimpse into their lives. Another big highlight was being able to worship with the congregation at Brooklyn Tabernacle for their prayer meeting. God keeps teaching us that he has placed us here (both in NYC and on the earth) to love God and be a blessing to others. We love seeing God’s people worship together in different settings and getting to hear what God has for us this week. Please keep us in your prayers as we keep going strong and come to the middle of our week.
Day 5 - Wednesday March 7 Always expect the unexpected when serving God. With the oncoming storm, we had to be ready for anything. We had a full day with meal preparations and serving, chapel services, and more. One of the highlights for many people today was during chapel services when we had the privilege to witness some people taking the first step, meeting Jesus, and receiving salvation. What a blessing and reason to rejoice! We’ve experience so many blessing over our time and what started out as a hard week for many has turned into joy and wishing that we could stay here longer.
Day 6 - Thursday March 8 It was our last full day at the Bowery today. We’ve been blessed by seeing the joy in others and hopefully bringing joy to them as well. We are so proud of our team and how they are working and listening to God’s leading this week. We have several new people speaking at chapel and some that didn’t think they would be challenged to speak. It’s awesome to see how God uses us in our weakness and how he uses it for his glory. We’ve also been challenged in how we see the world and see how God wants to use us.
Lots of fun was also had today as we visited and shopped a bit in Chinatown and Little Italy. We also got to see Times Square and see some shops we wish to visit such as the NBA store, Hershey’s, Juniors Cheesecake, and much more. It was also neat to see how some of our team had opportunities to bless others during our downtime. God always has ways we can be a blessing, we just need to listen and look around for the chance.

2019 Summary
New York 2020
In 2020 a group of teens went to New York to serve just before the shut down commenced. There were no update videos taken like in previous years.
