Is Children's Ministry Right for you?

So, you are interested in serving with the children's and youth programs at JUBC? 

That is wonderful news and we are grateful to have you as a volunteer. For the protection of our volunteers (you) and our children, we do require a couple things from you before you can begin serving in this way.

While we are fortunate to have amazing volunteers like you, we recognize that children's ministry is not for everyone. Our ultimate goal at JUBC is to provide a safe environment for the emotional and physical well being of all the children participating in church activities. It is also our priority to protect the leaders and volunteers serving with us.

Before you continue through the application and training, please take a moment to read through the following statements and ensure you align with them.

1. Children are valuable to God.

2. Children are a gift from the Lord.

3. Emotionally and spiritually healthy children have positive role models in their lives.

4. We believe in the power of encouraging words.

5. We believe that love and discipline go together and that discipline is a sign of love.

6. Every child needs to laugh, play, and have fun while learning the truths of God's word.

7. Children deserve a peaceful environment where each one is seen as unique.
