Cornerstone

We are group of believers who want to meet God through His word and through prayer.  We want to know and serve one another faithfully as we rest in the truth of the gospel. We want to bless people with the hope and confidence we have in Jesus; while we discover the depth of our salvation together through the highs and lows of life.

There’s never been a more important time than right now to be connected to a group of believers who share the same moral values, faith, and love for Jesus as you do; To discuss the meaning of scripture, personal experiences, pray together, and to just give each other encouragement and support.

Our meetings will be held weekly via ZOOM and we can't wait for you to join us!

Here Are Our Up Coming Studies

Gospel Shaped Worship: Jared Wilson

Gospel Shaped Worship is a six-week whole-church resource that explores what it means for a church to be a worshiping community.

Christians are people who have discovered that the one true object of our worship is the God who has revealed himself in and through Jesus Christ. But what exactly is worship? What should we be doing when we meet together for "church" on Sundays? And how does that connect with what we do the rest of the week?

As you search the Scriptures together, you will discover that true worship encompasses the whole of life. This engaging and flexible resource will challenge you to worship God every day of the week, will all your heart, mind, soul and strength.

The Meaning of Marriage: Tim & Kathy Keller

Modern culture would have you believe that everyone has a soul mate; that romance is the most important part of a successful marriage; that marriage does not mean 'til death do us part, but merely for as long as my needs are being met; and that when serious differences arise, divorce is the best solution.

According to the Bible, all of these modern-day assumptions miss what marriage is all about. In this six-session video-based Bible study ( guide sold separately), Timothy Keller, along with Kathy, his wife of forty years, draws a profound portrait of marriage from the pages of Scripture that neither idealizes nor rejects the institution but points us back to the relationship between God and man. The result is a vision for marriage that is refreshingly frank and unsentimental, yet hopeful and beautiful.

This study is for anyone from singles to couples considering marriage to those who have been married recently or for a long time.

Sessions include:

1      Service: Marriage Isn't about You

2      Covenant: Created to Make Promises

3      Roles: Loving through Mutual Submission

4      Singleness: Strengthening the Spiritual Family

5      Sex: The Act of Covenant Renewal

6      Hope: Seeing the Great Horizon

It Starts at Home: Gary Thomas

Who is shaping what your kids believe?

In these busy, hectic days we take our kids to sports practices, games, music lessons, school tutoring and other activities to give our children the best opportunities for success. But what if we're missing the chance to teach them what matters most?

Our children can grow up smart, athletic, popular and polite but lack a vibrant relationship with Christ. The few hours they spend in church each week can be helpful, but it cannot nurture a faith in our kids that will withstand the trials that are on the horizon. Church alone cannot teach them, we must start at home. But many parents feel ill equipped to develop the faith of their children.

In these six sessions, we will explore biblical and tangible ways that parents—couples, single parents, blended families and grandparents—can build a legacy of faith for their children.

Each Bible study session includes interviews with everyday parents talking about their own doubts, fears and desires. Gary Thomas, Matt Chandler, and Kurt and Olivia Bruner provide powerful teaching that will help you give your kids what they need to build a solid framework for lifelong faith.

The Book of Ephesians: J.D. Greear

Has it ever dawned on you that nothing has ever dawned on God? He knew before the world began that His people would face hardship, so He gave us His Word. The Book of Ephesians is a survival manual—it equips believers to thrive in a world that hates the message of Jesus Christ. Paul the Apostle writes to encourage believers to live well—we've been lifted from the graveyard of sin and called to shout the gospel into the darkened world.

Pastor and author J.D. Greear walks through the powerful words of Paul. In 9 sessions, J.D. digs into the text of Ephesians verse-by-verse and challenges believers to live out the gospel. If the people of your city, of your school, of your family are going to hear the gospel, it's going to be from your mouth. Encounter Ephesians, and get swept up into the story of Jesus.

Soul Detox: Craig Grouschel

Don’t Waste Your Life: John Piper

Ten, fifteen-minute presentations,

Most people slip by in life without a passion for God, spending their lives on trivial diversions, living for comfort and pleasure... and perhaps trying to avoid sin. Yet as John Piper teaches in this series and its companion materials, God has designed us for far more than this. We just have to awaken to the simple, biblical reality that "to live is Christ, and to die is gain." This valuable resource-part of the redesigned Don't Waste Your Life Group Study Kit-can assist churches, small groups, and teachers in that task.

Designed to be used in a ten-session, guided group study along with the companion components in the kit, each fifteen-minute presentation explores the meaning and significance of making one's life count for eternity. Piper's rich teaching is a useful tool any leader or facilitator can use to direct members' understanding and guide them to treasure Christ above all.

In addition to the ten 15-minute sessions, which is designed for a guided group setting and works in tandem with the Don't Waste Your Life Group Study material, this series also has four hour-long messages as part of the Don't Waste Your Life Conference Edition, which allows you to conduct your own event.
